Conehead Bow River Bugger Black

This fly melds the best of the wooly bugger and muddler together, to form the classic Bow River Bugger streamer pattern. It was originally for fishing big rainbows on the Bow river in Alberta, but it is now a common and very productive fly on practically any trout stream. The black and olive bow river bugger is not only a great choice for fishing in lightly stained water, it works just as well in ultra clear water on the right day. Its a deady trout fly for both western and eastern waters. It will catch rainbows, browns, cuttthroats, dollies, bulls, brookies, pike, walleye, whitefish, and eelpout. Hook sizes #4 and #6

The Conehead Bow River Bugger is a great hybrid between a Muddler Minnow and a Woolly Bugger with a weighted head to help it get down even quicker. The addition of a cone head to this effective pattern makes the fly come to life and is especially effective where sculpins are available.Always good to have a few of these around fished best in deep holes.Hook sizes #4 and #6
