Blue Quill


The Blue Quill, or scientifically, the Paraleps mayfly hatch when the water temperatures are approximately 50 degrees F. for a few days. The hatch starts as early as 11:00 A.M. and continues through most of the afternoon, with the best activity occurring during the warmest part of the day. There are over 30 species of Paraleptophlebia, most inhabiting the rivers of the Rockies and west coast.Tied in hook sizes 14 to 22
